On the evening of June 22, the stage of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet will welcome one of the most important performances in the artistic calendar of this season. This marks an important cultural event, as the iconic conductor, Zubin Mehta, who has been described by many personalities as “one of the best conductors of all time”, comes to Albania for the first time.

Master Zubin Mehta will conduct the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, on the 100th anniversary of its foundation, in the Gala concert that will be held on the TKOB stage, within the “Open Balkans” initiative.

The repertoire of this historic concert will contain world elite classical music, Symphony no. 7 by Beethoven and the “Fantastic Symphony” by the well-known French composer Hector Berlioz.

“The program with the maestro has been scheduled since October. As a theater director and as an artist, I want to show that we are as capable as they are. As for the facts happening now, I think only closed minds can create unpleasant situations. They are traps that I think history will eliminate with its own time”, the General Director of TKOB, Abigeila Voshtina said.

The Gala concert will be held on Thursday, at 20:00.
