Every one can find colorful roses in the courtyards of every house in the village of Pojan.

This symbolic flower for Pojani has become a leitmotif to attract visitors, so it is organized for the third year in a row “Rose Festival”.
Traditional songs and dances enlivened every village alley.

The celebration did not miss the culinary fair where housewives presented traditional dishes, brought in the most beautiful form with flower bouquets.

“I have had the desire to cultivate roses since I was a child. I like roses very much. I planted them with passion, watered them, pruned them to make bouquets. I give them when I have birthdays and engagements,” said one of the residents.

Special symbolism is the donation by the municipality of 100 roses to each Pojana family to increase the cultivation of this flower.

“Every year we give 100 roses to each family to increase the rose, to increase all the flowers that the families have, so that the children grow up with pure oxygen” – another resident of this village said.

“The community, the elders, the Administrative Unit and the village school have made it a tradition to organize the “Rose Festival” every year. It is already an innovation from one year to another, being enriched with new activities. We hope that this year we have reached our expectations”the mayor of Maliqi, Gëzim Topçiu said.

Pojani of Maliqi is a village that preserves its traditions, besides the Rose Festival, the inhabitants celebrate every year, in January, also the carnival or otherwise “Rrogec Day”.
