Book on Slovenian composer’s life in Albania to be published in October

The book of Bojan Adamic, the life of this well-known Slovenian composer in Albania, is expected to be published in October of this year in Tirana.
The news was announced by the director of the National Book and Reading Center, Alda Bardhyli, who together with the Slovenian ambassador in Tirana Peter Japelj and Vaso Tole, the vice president of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, browsed through the book.
Bardhyli announced that it was the idea of the Minister of Culture Elva Margariti that all the letters that Adamic wrote from Albania should be seen as a way to build a book on this great figure, but also to give a picture of the rich cultural life of Albania before the 50s,and this is a value on the spiritual and cultural wealth that our history carries.
“I’m here for everything. I conduct the orchestra, I write compositions, so that others can sign under them as if it were theirs, I work in the union, in the radio, in the Committee, in the theater”, these lines were written from Tirana by the Slovenian composer to his wife in 1947.
He left his country for ideological reasons immediately after the Second World War. Adamic lived for some time in Albania, where he got to know very well the culture, tradition and folk of our country. In the years 1947-1948 he collaborated with the orchestra of Radio Tirana, worked with Albanian music and held concerts.
