Maintenance, restoration and consolidation works have begun in another 1^st Category Cultural Monument, the dwelling with two colonnades, in the Archeological Park of Finiq.

Albanian Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, in a post on social network, shared moments from the work on this monument.

“After the design of the project by Vlora Regional Directorate and approval by the National Council of Material Cultural Heritage, work began on the restoration and consolidation of the mural structure; consolidation of some sections in this line; restoration of decorative elements in masonry; systemizing the terrain, etc.,” writes Margariti.

The Archaeological Park of Finiq is located on a hill 283 m above sea level, 9 km east of the city of Saranda. You can come to the park by any means of transport, following the national road Sarandë-Gjirokastër and returning to the village of Finiq. In the center of the village, you will find a paved road that will take you to the hill where the park is located.

In addition to the monuments inside the fortification walls, the hill of Finiq offers visitors an extraordinary viewing experience, thanks to the geographical position from where the Bistrica foothills, Lake Butrint and the entire Delvina basin can be seen.
