With the proposal of the Minister of Culture and the Minister of Finance and Economy, the Council of Ministers decided that the Ministry of Culture, in the budget approved for the year 2023, will be added to the fund of 130,065,200 ALL, for the financing of the Gjirokastër National Folk Festival. This festival will take place on June 24-July 2, 2023.

The additional fund will be divided into current expenses, “Cultural heritage projects”, to which is added the fund of 117,335,200 ALL to cover expenses for accommodation, transport, publicity, stage, lights, sound, within the festival.

As for the “Investments” capital expenses, the added fund is 12,730,000 ALL for district grants and equipment purchases for the spectator area and other facilities in the castle. The fund of 130,065,200 ALL will be covered by the budget reserve fund.
