Albanian stall attracts attention at Turin book fair

On the first day of the International Book Fair in Turin, the Albanian stall attracted the attention of thousands of visitors.

Albania’s book stall is presented as a rock that opens up to the world through literature, inspired by Kadare’s “Chronicles in Stone”.

This work, both architectural and artistic, comes from architect Matilda Pando and sculptor Ergys Krisiko.

“A hard work in a very short time by the girls and boys at the Ministry of Culture and the National Book and Reading Center, with the support of our partners: the Association of Albanian Publishers, Regione Puglia, the Albanian Center of Turin and others”, writes the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti on social networks where she shared photos from the activity of the day before.

The minister also shared photos from the meeting with her counterpart, Gennaro Sangiuliano, with whom she discussed advancing the relationship between the two countries, the cultural program that was signed a year ago and new projects related to cultural heritage.

“Surrounded by books, authors, readers, publishers, you can only think of projects that belong to culture”, writes Margariti.
