Albania is ranked second in the region in the PIRLS 2021 international test, for good reading skills of fourth grade students.

Albania is listed after Serbia, leaving behind other countries such as: Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Belgium, Israel and Turkey.

4620 students participated in the test. The Minister of Education, Evis Kushi has explained that for the first time this year Albania has crossed the threshold of 500 points.

PIRLS international testing serves to make comparisons with the countries of the region, but also with other international tests

The PIRLS test is organized every 5 years and measures reading skills for students in grades 4 and 8.
