“Roots” is the title of the newest sculpture cast in bronze, which has been added to the promenade “Taulantia” in the city of Durrës.

According to the well-known sculptor, Adrian Dule, the primary meaning of this sculpture is the roots that extend from the land to the sea, just like the city itself, which is eternally connected to the sea.

The symbolism of this sculpture speaks of the connection of our compatriots with their country. For this reason, this work of art has been placed near the commemorative monument of the 1991 exodus, where thousands of Albanians emigrated abroad, but remained firmly connected to their roots in Albania.

The municipality of Durrës aims to place works of art in every part of the city, not only by local artists, but also by foreign artists in order to excite the many tourists who visit this city.
