The 5th International Watercolor Biennale in Tirana, innovation and exhibition of 200 artists from 25 countries

The works of watercolor masters are in the exhibitions of the International Watercolor Biennale in Tirana. The fifth edition of the biennale brings the world’s watercolor masters to the public, where the artists’ live performances will not be missing during these days.
“Tirana International Watercolor Biennale”, the 5th edition, organized by the Cultural Association VIZart takes place this year with the support of the Municipality of Tirana and the Ministry of Culture. The works in the biennale are exhibited in the spaces of the Gallery of Art Tirana and in the spaces of the National Historical Museum (on the first and second floor). The works of artists from Moldova, Sweden, Korea, Spain, Thailand, USA, Germany, Israel, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Mexico, Albania, Kosovo, etc., are part of the watercolor biennial. Ormira Lulani, president of the VizArt cultural association, says that several events will take place in parallel during these days.
The exhibition of international watercolor artists brings their works to the National Historical Museum, and in these spaces is the International Festival of Young Artists, second edition, which takes place in all art mediums.

Curator Helidon Haliti says that about 200 artists exhibit their works this year at the “Tirana International Watercolor Biennale”, where the live performances of the masters will be followed by art lovers and students, who will take place during the days of the biennale. Curator Haliti says that “Tirana International Watercolor Biennale” is an important activity in the artistic life of Tirana.

Helidon Haliti says that the event is also important because it is interwoven with different activities. “We don’t just have a visit for an exhibition, but we have conversations between artists, we have meetings with them and the development of several workshops, that you can ask the artists about their technique and experience. So it’s more interactive than probably anything else,” he says.

The biennial, which has already become a tradition, is an excellent opportunity to bring the best artists to Tirana.
