The city of Bajram Curri for three consecutive nights has turned into the cradle of folklore of songs, orchestral melodies and folk dances, bringing the 20th edition of the “Sofra Dardane” Festival to Bajram Curri.

Organized by the Artistic Union of the Nation and the city municipality, over 500 artists of the Ensemble from all Albanian regions became part of the festival, masterfully bringing the variety of traditional sounds of Albanian folklore.
“Sofra Dardane” is one of the rare events with extraordinary values, which gives messages of unity, messages of Albanianness, unity and most importantly messages of preserving the spiritual values of our people” said Frrok Gjonaj.

In various costumes, he was paraded through the streets of the city, bringing enthusiasm to the residents of the city. Folkloric nights did not lack the sounds of the historical instrument of the north, the Highland Lute.

I had the honor and luck to participate in this 20th anniversary of the creation of “Sofra Dardane”. In this event, the ensembles of Montenegro, Kosovo, Labëria, Çamëria, Puka, Tropoja and all the regions participate in this event with cultural societies!’ said Gjonaj.

“Sofra Dardane” is one of the most important national festivals of northern folk music that brings together the art of Albanian music from all over the world every year. Many dignitaries from Kosovo and Albania also participated in this event.
