A masterclass for young filmmakers was conducted in Tirana by the renowned British director Mike Figgis

The British Cultural Week continued its events with a masterclass led by Mike Figgis. Held at the “Agimi” Art Center, the event brought together young filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts to engage with the British director, screenwriter, and composer.
Mike Figgis presented a seminar on producing films with limited budgets and minimal equipment, sparking significant interest among the next generation of filmmakers. This event served as a valuable exchange of knowledge between the UK and Albanian film industries.
Figgis, a two-time Oscar nominee for his film Leaving Las Vegas (1995), shared insights from his extensive career. Thanks to the British Cultural Week, young participants had the unique opportunity to converse with an artist known for numerous film and television productions. In addition to directing, Figgis has written many of the scripts for his films and composed much of their music.
