Ajola Daja’s Directorial Debut “Emili” to Premiere at Millennium Cinema

The National Center of Cinematography announced that today marks the premiere of the feature film “Emili”, directed by Ajola Daja, a production financially supported by the National Center of Cinematography.
“Emili” is Ajola Daja’s first feature-length film as a director. It will be shown today at the Millennium Cinema in Tirana.
In addition to directing, Ajola Daja also wrote the screenplay, which addresses domestic violence from the perspective of women in the household.
The leading role of Emili is played by actress Arta Dobroshi, while the role of the mother-in-law is portrayed by Luiza Xhuvani. Lulzim Zeqja plays the abusive husband, and Noel Miraka takes on the role of Emili’s young son.
Ajola Daja has stated to the media that “Emili” received support from the National Center of Cinematography in the independent category, which posed the challenge of securing an independent budget, a difficult feat to accomplish.
