Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, welcomed a high-level Italian delegation today. The meeting aimed to strengthen strategic cooperation between Albanian and Italian cultural institutions.

The Italian delegation included representatives from MAXXI – the National Museum of 21st Century Arts, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Embassy, and the Italian Cultural Institute.

Minister Gonxhja highlighted the importance of exchanging experience in managing contemporary museum institutions. He emphasized the need to build lasting bridges of cooperation. These efforts will lay the foundation for developing Albania’s future National Museum of Fine Arts.

Gonxhja stated that the partnership will give Albania access to Europe’s best practices. These include exhibition planning, heritage preservation, archive digitalization, and contemporary art promotion.

He also noted the vital role of joint training programs and experience exchange. This collaboration, he said, ensures mutual benefit and builds a shared cultural vision for the future.
