Albania Hosts Cultural Showcase at WIPO Headquarters in Geneva

Today, Albania will organize a special event at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva.
Over 600 delegates from around the world are expected to attend.

This marks the first time Albania is hosting an official event within WIPO’s premises.
The showcase presents the country’s authentic cultural treasures to an international audience.

The exhibition features protected products with geographical indications, traditional costumes from various regions, and intricate filigree work — a symbol of Albanian craftsmanship.

The evening begins at 18:00 with traditional songs, folk dances, and a tasting of typical Albanian products.
The artistic program includes performances from different Albanian regions and a special presentation on geographical indications and traditional cultural expressions.

This is a unique opportunity to share Albania’s identity and rich cultural heritage with the world.

WIPO, a United Nations agency, promotes a balanced global intellectual property system that fosters innovation, creativity, and sustainability.
With 193 member states, WIPO supports cultures and economies through the protection of creative and industrial rights.
