Albania Shines at Festival du Périgord Noir in France

Albania took part in the Festival du Périgord Noir, one of the most renowned music festivals in France. The event blended Mediterranean traditions, cultures, and histories.

The festival ran from 3 to 17 August. During this time, distinguished Albanian artists performed music that connected generations and crossed borders.

Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, called it an unforgettable journey through music. He said Albania was not only heard but also felt—with emotion, nostalgia, and joy.

Flaka Goranci and the Togha Quartet presented “Albanian Melodies”. They brought to the stage the depth of the voice and the power of folk songs. Meanwhile, Miksi, Yara Kasti, and Tsanta lit up the atmosphere with an open-air concert in Terrasson-Lavilledieu. Their performance blended music from Albania, Syria, Lebanon, France, and Iran.

In addition, renowned artists Tedi Papavrami and Maki Okada offered a virtuosic journey. Their performance moved through Albania, Italy, Spain, and Poland with rare passion and mastery.

Finally, pianist Marie-Ange Nguci gave a deeply emotional piano recital. It became one of the most magical nights of the festival.
