In the “Academics” Hall of the Albanian Academy of Sciences, the book The Kune-Vain Lagoon Complex: An Ecological Approach was presented.

This publication offers, for the first time in Albania, a comprehensive overview of scientific findings from research conducted as part of the Joint Research Program, Ecological Approach to the Kune-Vain Lagoon Complex, Lezhë. These findings, some of which have been previously summarized in scientific events or published in journals, are now fully detailed with data analysis, tables, graphics, and photographs of species and habitats, including microscopic ones.

Compiled in a single volume, the book provides a thorough understanding of this ecologically significant area for Lezhë, Albania, and the region.

The study’s results and recommendations are intended to assist the administration of Protected Areas in Lezhë, local decision-makers, and environmental specialists in assessing the ecosystem’s condition. They also support future conservation and ecological restoration efforts, aiming for better management that aligns with international standards.
