The internationally famous Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho has performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

Jaho has brought back Violeta, in the famous work of Giuseppe Verdi, Traviata, the character that has climbed to the biggest stages of the world, alongside the tenor Ismael Jordi and the baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat.

Jaho shared on social networks a detail that gave him even more emotions during the show in New York.

An Albanian flag while the audience applauds her performance has made her feel even closer to Albania.

“The Metropolitan audience always makes me feel at home, but when you see an Albanian flag, that feeling doubles. “Whoever waved that flag, I thank you for bringing me a piece of my heart,” emphasizes Jaho.

Ermonela Jaho has performed in many operas around the world, including the Royal Opera in London, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Berliner Statsoper, ParisChamps Elysees-Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Opera de Marseille, Arena di Verona, Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Teatro La Fenice, Theater Capitol de Toulouse, etc. She has performed in the theaters “Aligheri”, Ravena, “Piçolo”, Scala-Milano and in many other world stages.
