The Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre of Opera, Ballet and Folk Ensemble marked a historic milestone with its debut at the “Respighi Bologna 2025” Festival.

On the grand stage of Teatro Auditorium Manzoni, more than 70 Albanian musicians performed under the baton of maestro Sergio Alapont. The concert featured the virtuoso violinist Giuseppe Gibboni as soloist, captivating the audience with his remarkable artistry.

“Respighi Bologna 2025” stands among the most prestigious music festivals in Italy and Europe. Therefore, the orchestra’s participation represented both an artistic honor and a powerful moment of cultural exchange.

The evening’s program included works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Paganini, Respighi, and Stravinsky. As a result, the audience experienced a musical journey rich in emotion, color, and technical brilliance that lasted for more than two hours.

In the end, Italian spectators rewarded the Albanian orchestra with long and enthusiastic applause, recognizing its outstanding artistic level and expressive mastery.

This debut not only showcased Albania’s growing presence on the European classical music stage but also celebrated the excellence and dedication of its musicians.
