President Bajram Begaj  honored today Kosovo’s historic president, Ibrahim Rugova, calling him a visionary leader who shaped an independent and free Kosovo through wisdom, patience, and political insight.

In a post on X, the head of state highlighted that Rugova envisioned Kosovo’s future closely linked to European values such as democracy, human rights, pluralism, and the rule of law.

President Begaj emphasized that Rugova’s vision has become a reality today. He added that Rugova’s political legacy clearly shows that peace, dialogue, and a European orientation form the foundation of state-building and a sustainable future for Kosovo.
