Bulgarian painter Vassil Stoyev exhibits 40 of his artistic works in Tirana

The artistic creativity of the famous Bulgarian painter Vassil Stoyev travels for the first time to the city of Tirana. The artist’s personal exhibition, which contains 40 works, has been opened at the National Historical Museum.

Vassil Stoyev’s painting has a special chromatic dimension, which appears to us as a coloristic ensemble, as a deep polyphony of spiritual trigonometry, where the dissonance of strong tones is felt.

In his paintings there is often a direct connection between the figures of isolated people and the context that surrounds them, where the presented compositions are surrounded by a vortex that seems to express the artist’s inner state and tension.

Stoyev’s work is presented to us abstractly and for the painter this is a finding of another form of cases and events that have not yet appeared.

According to critics, Stoyev has been evaluated as an interesting and original phenomenon in modern Bulgarian painting. Professor Stefan Stanev writes that, Vassil Stoyev is one of the most talented and distinguished Bulgarian artists of his generation. His works are known by prestigious European galleries, and not only.

This exhibition opens on the occasion of May 24 – the Day of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, the two Pan-Slavic Illuminists of Bulgarian education, culture and Slavic literature.
