On June 4, 1500, is dated Friar Bernardini’s letter from Shkodër, which informs about the welcome of Gjon Kastrioti Jr., the son of Skanderbeg, by the Albanian insurgents.

On June 4, 1896, Dr. Nush Bushati was born in Shkodër. He graduated in law at the University of Vienna. He led the society “Albania” and the editorial office of the magazine “Djalëria” /The Young Boys/. In Albania, he was elected MP from Shkodër in the National Assembly and its General Secretary. After the June Revolution of 1924, Prime Minister, Noli appointed him general council of Albania in Vienna. In 1930, he returned to Albania and headed the Albanian Youth Organization. Two years later he was elected MP again, this time from Dibër. In 1935 he was appointed Minister of Education. Then he went to Vienna where he lived until he passed away in 1937.

On June 4, 1915, the first Albanian woman sculptor Kristina Hoshi was born in Kavaja. She became known with the sculpture “Fidani” which she presented at the 1951 exhibition, where she won the first prize. Then she sculptured many other works, the bust of Doctor Shiroka being one of the masterpieces she created.

On June 3 and 4, 2003, after a break of several years, the traditional activities of children’s song festivals in the districts resumed in Albania.
