On March 10, 1937, Albanian women’s week was held with the motto “the freed slave”. The removal of veils began and the discovery of the woman’s face became legal.

On March 10, 2001, the painter Fatmir Haxhiu passed away in Tirana. Fatmir Haxhiu became the creator of the first military studio in Albania. The theme of war and heroic resistance became the main motif of his creativity. Fatmir Haxhiu has been honored with the high titles “Merited Painter” and “Great Master of Work”.

On March 10, 2003, Professor Abaz Ermenji passed away. He was one of the organizers of the Korça youth against the fascist occupation, which is why he was exiled to the island of Ventotene, from where he was released in 1941. After his release, he left for Paris, where he headed the Democratic National Committee “Free Albania”. In 1991, he was elected Chairman of the National Front in Albania. Professor Ermenji has been an ardent defender of the Albanian issue and nationality.
