In celebration of the XXIV Week of the Italian Language in the World, the fourth edition of the initiative “Zecchino d’Oro in Albania” has commenced. This event is organized by the Embassy in collaboration with the Antoniano of Bologna and the Albanian Ministry of Education and Sports.

Students from the Illiria nine-year schools, where Italian is taught as the first language, showcased their exceptional language skills by performing a variety of songs. Through beloved melodies that have made the festival famous, these young talents not only enjoyed themselves but also enriched their Italian language proficiency, charming the audience with their interpretations of the competing songs.

This year, the first two performances took place in Durrës and, as a new addition, in Elbasan. Upcoming events are scheduled in Korçë, Tirana, and Shkodër, featuring more young talents who will bring joy to the theaters.

Congratulations to the students and their teachers, and heartfelt thanks to the Municipality of Durrës and the Municipality of Elbasan for providing the Aleksander Moisiu Theater and the Skampa Theater for these wonderful performances.
