A ceremony was organized today on the occasion of the inauguration of the ‘Week of Italy’, which comes with more than 70 activities that will be realized in 7 days distributed in several cities. Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Bucci says that there will be many musical activities.

“The celebration of the Republic of Italy will also take place here in the square. Pizza Village and concert with special guests. We hope that the weather conditions will be on our side. I believe our friend Erioni has the logistical elements of the organization ready,” said Bucci.
The Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, said that they will be almost all over the country.

“The squares will buzz, music, culture, exhibitions and elements of Italian excellence. We will be in Gjirokastër, Berat, Shkodër where the Italian consulate has been restored there, in Vlora and almost all over the country”, said Margariti.

After the success of the first edition, from 1 to 7 June 2023, Italian culture returns to Albania. Music, sports, cuisine, science, opera, architecture and design will be just some of the Italian values that will be the protagonists of a journey that will cross Albania from North to South.

A packed program of activities, including the celebration of the Republic Day, the Planet Funk music group, the Science Festival, the day dedicated to Arbëresh, the return of Pizza Village, the marathon for autism as well as the mural created by Tellas as an expression of friendship between Italy and Albania. There will also be evenings dedicated to theater, opera and music with performances in squares dedicated to Verdi, a concert by the well-known trumpet player Paolo Fresu and a performance in memory of the genius Enio Morricone.
