The “Screen of Art” Festival opened in Shkodër.

The Mayor of Shkodër, Benet Beci, shared moments from the opening ceremony on social media. Many figures from the fields of art and culture attended the event.

The eighth edition of the festival started with the poetic theme “Postcards from Elsewhere.” It presented two major exhibitions alongside a film premiere at “Kinema Republika.”

Until June 22, Shkodër will be the art capital. The festival brings film projects, exhibitions, talks, and artistic events in various locations across the city.

The “Screen of Art” film festival is one of Shkodër’s most important cultural events.

The festival began as a project aiming to connect contemporary art with cinema. In previous editions, it introduced the public to authors and documentaries about the lives and work of contemporary artists. It also revived nostalgia for cinema as a key institution in educating generations through art and culture.
