Construction of New National Children’s Culture Center in Tirana, A Regional First, Home of Art for Children

Construction continues on the new National Children’s Culture Center near the Grand Park of Tirana Lake.

Culture Minister Blendi Gonxhja shared photos of the ongoing work on social media. He said the center will provide opportunities to discover and develop children’s artistic talents.

The project will have nine floors and offer 7,000 square meters of functional space. The center will host artistic and educational activities for children of all ages.

Gonxhja noted that the center will create unlimited opportunities for young people to explore and develop their talents. He described it as a unique regional project that will become a home for art, education, and entertainment for the future.

The center will include a dual stage, both inside the building and outside as an open-air amphitheater. It will add new spaces for performing arts in Tirana. Contemporary auditoriums, acting, ballet, music, painting, design, craft, and innovation classrooms will turn the center into a creative laboratory for young generations.

The dual stage will rotate for the first time, allowing it to move between indoor and outdoor performances. This advanced design will enable the center to host a wide range of shows and events for children and youth.

The project will also feature a large workshop for making puppets and stage props. Students from the Academy of Arts will be able to use it.

The center will offer courses in various performing arts, including acting, ballet, and music. It will allow young people to showcase and develop their talents.

With this project, Tirana will gain a unique space that fosters creativity among children and youth in the city.
