Croatia, Kosova, Albania military cooperation aims for regional stability, says Croatian defense minister

TIRANA, February 13 – Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anushic said on Thursday that military cooperation between Croatia, Kosova, and Albania does not pose any threat. He added that the initiative aims to strengthen stability in the region.
Anushic noted that Albania is a NATO member and a candidate for European Union membership. He added that Kosova seeks accession to the EU and NATO, while Croatia is a member of both organizations. He emphasized that their shared interests focus on regional stability, not destabilization.
The minister told Beta news agency that Croatia wants to support Albania and Kosova on their path to EU and NATO membership. He said the country is equally ready to assist Serbia if it chooses the European or NATO path.
Anushic stressed that Croatia has never been a threat to anyone. He noted that its EU and NATO membership obliges the country to act responsibly, and it has no plans to behave otherwise.
He made the remarks during a NATO defense ministers’ meeting in Brussels.
