On National Youth Day, leaders emphasized the key role of young people in Albania’s transformation, from European integration to social and economic development.

EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato and Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports Blendi Gonxhja urged youth to engage actively in the country’s 2030 vision.

At the “Youth Paths 2030” event, Gonzato said Albania faces a historic opportunity to join the European Union. He stressed that youth engagement is crucial to fight corruption, impunity, and organized crime, and to build an inclusive society with equal access to education, healthcare, and welfare.

Minister Gonxhja recalled the spirit of December 8, 1990, noting that youth historically led change in Albania. He said, “Youth is the main driver of economic, cultural, and social development. Your energy, talent, and ideals shape our future.”

Gonxhja highlighted support programs and creative spaces as essential tools to empower youth and realize Albania’s 2030 vision.
