TIRANA, November 7 – At the “Drita” cinema, the Central State Film Archive presented today its ongoing process of digitizing and preserving film images. The presentation was led by archive specialist Erjon Tusha.

The project includes a total of 55,000 archival units from graphic and photographic collections, as well as 6,600 film titles containing 44,000 acts.

The event highlighted the importance of preserving Albania’s visual memory and the modern methods that bring graphic and photographic images to life in digital form. These materials are becoming more accessible to researchers and the public.

This initiative marks another step in protecting Albania’s film heritage and passing it on to future generations.
