Durrës at ITB Berlin: A destination of sea, culture, and development

TIRANA, March 3 – Durrës is being presented at ITB Berlin 2026 as an authentic Mediterranean destination.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a promotional video of the city. He highlighted Durrës as a destination that combines the sea, culture, and development.
The city remains a top choice for local and international tourists. It offers more than beaches, including historical and cultural sites. Key landmarks include the Venetian Tower, the Durrës Beauty Mosaic, the Roman Amphitheatre, and the Archaeological Museum.
Albania’s ITB Berlin agenda combines innovation, culture, natural beauty, and local experiences. Despite its small size, the country offers diverse tourism options: mountain tourism in the Albanian Alps, coastal tourism along the Riviera, cultural tourism in historical cities, and rural and gastronomic tourism in villages.
ITB Berlin 2026 emphasizes sustainable tourism, avoiding mass-tourism models. For Albania, the event showcases the future of its tourism sector.
