Economy minister: White Book guides cooperation with business community

TIRANA, January 29 – Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj attended the presentation of the “White Book,” organized by the Foreign Investors Association (FIAA). She said the document provides a strategic guide for economic policy and collaboration with the business community.

Minister Ibrahimaj explained that the White Book helps shape laws and policies. It uses recommendations from the business sector. The document ensures government decisions match real market needs and European Union standards.

“This is my second White Book. I am pleased to contribute recommendations for different sectors and policy areas. The new White Book will guide us in the coming years,” she said.

She noted that 2025 brought positive results for Albania. Investments, exports, and employment all grew. Unemployment dropped. More businesses began operating in the country.

The minister said these results show a favorable climate for business. They also show the sector’s adaptability. She added that 2026 brings challenges. Albania must continue EU integration, implement planned reforms, and cooperate closely with businesses to meet EU market standards.

Ibrahimaj said the Ministry is working on strategic plans. These include the export program and the industrial program. They will guide sector development in line with EU policy.

She added: “We will help the business community meet required standards. We aim to improve productivity and competitiveness. Both Albanian and foreign businesses will be our main partners in this journey.”

Representatives from local institutions and the diplomatic corps in Tirana attended the event.
