Work continues steadily near the Buna River construction site. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared new footage today from the Shipbuilding Museum site at Shkodër’s entrance. The project is taking shape day by day.

“The Shipbuilding Museum, at the entrance of Shkodër, is starting to take form. This investment blends with the city’s entrance, creating a unique complex for Shkodër,” Rama wrote on social media.

The museum is an ambitious and long-awaited project. It will become an important cultural and tourist landmark for the region.

The investment is expected to finish by February 10, 2026, costing around two million euros. The Shipbuilding Museum is part of a wider set of improvements in Shkodër aimed at boosting tourism.

The design features two volumes stacked on each other: a hill-shaped lower part and a “splashing boat” on top. This museum will symbolize Shkodër’s urban and cultural landscape.

The project is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Union.
