This weekend, the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet will present “Portrait Concert.”

Saturday evening offers more than just music. It reflects two artistic portraits on stage this May 31 at TKOB.

On one side is Dejon Bendaj. A violinist since childhood, he grew up with the stage and international awards. His technique burns with passion.

On the other side is Zamir Kabo. A pianist trained in Europe’s top academies, he plays with emotion and strength.

Together, they bring to life works by Mozart, Prokofiev, and Bartók. This evening will be both heard and felt. Bendaj and Kabo will place chamber music at the heart of emotion.

This concert will be followed by another event at TKOB. This time, pianist Kabo will accompany soprano Ana Naqe in the concert “Beyond Borders.”

“Beyond Borders” is a journey. It begins with the grace of German romance and ends in the drama of Italian opera. From the sensitivity of Strauss and Korngold to the expressive power of Verdi, Bellini, and Cilea.
