Environment Ministry advances waste management study with French support

The Environment Ministry has held the second steering committee meeting for a French-funded feasibility study aimed at improving waste management. The study receives support through FASEP, France’s Fund for Studies and Support to the Private Sector.

Environment Minister Sofjan Jaupaj said discussions focused on technical solutions, required infrastructure and efficient waste treatment models that meet European Union standards.

In a social media statement, Jaupaj stressed the importance of cooperation with French partners in turning plans into concrete projects. He said the goal was to translate planning into investment and build a modern, sustainable waste management system.

The study aims to identify suitable solutions and models for developing waste management infrastructure in line with European requirements and standards.
