Ermir Dizdari Publishes Book on National Folklore Festivals in Lezhë

The National Folklore Festivals of Rhapsodes and Folk Instrumentalists held in Lezhë in 2002, 2003, and 2005 are now compiled in a new book by musician, conductor, and researcher Ermir Dizdari.
The book, supported by Lezhë Municipality, honors and preserves Albania’s spiritual and musical heritage. It was presented during the “Tetori Fishtjan” activities at the Gjergj Fishta Public Library in Lezhë.
Friends of the book and the author attended the event. Dizdari, with over 50 years of experience in the music scene and as a founder of many artistic ensembles, included festival programs, song lyrics, and a rich photo archive, capturing the collective memory of these cultural events.
As the former artistic director of the festival, Dizdari documented every song performed at the events.
Jona Dividi, Director of Culture at Lezhë Municipality, called the book “a valuable contribution to Albanian folklore heritage.” She added: “Ermir Dizdari has given so much to Albanian art. This book documents the love for national folklore festivals and the music of our rhapsodes.”
