Ethno-Musical Zare Fills Opera and Ballet Theatre

The ethno-musical Zare filled the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet last night.

Zare stands as one of the most beautiful shows in the repertoire of the National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble.

The ethno-musical brings to the stage the full power of song, dance, and tradition. It tells a love story between two young people. It takes the audience back to times when love lived in small gestures and great songs.

The audience sang along with the artists of the Folk Ensemble.

Soloists Aranit Hoxha, Mariana Shkreta, Reji Berisha, Denisa Gjezo Xhemnica, Genci Kastrati, and Gëzim Halili performed Zare with the Ensemble’s Orchestra, Choir, and Vocal Group.

Edi Xhani led the musical direction, while Andrea Kokeri created the choreography.

This production brought Albanian tradition to the stage in a modern format, full of energy, emotion, and celebration.
