EU-Funded Event Explores Spaç as Space of Violence and Memory

Kavajë’s Ethnographic Museum hosted the event “Shpirtërim”, supported by EU4Culture.
The discussion focused on the infamous Spaç camp. Two authors of the book TERRENE – Eight Perspectives on Spaç, Anna Shkreli and Ledi Shamku, shared their insights. They explored memory, the past, and how we confront it today.
The event followed an interactive format, encouraging dialogue among participants. Other authors of Terrene will continue the discussion today at the Sotir Kolea Center, examining Spaç as a space of violence and memory.
Antonela Pepkolaj, Artan Puto, Sokol Çunga, and Anna Shkreli will participate in today’s session.
Shpirtërim is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNOPS in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation.
