The EU program “EU4Culture” invites everyone to the “Epidam Cultural Night of Heritage and Art.” This event connects cultural heritage between past and present.

In the Durrës Hammam, restored by EU4Culture, guests will attend the first artistic evening inside this historic building since its restoration. Durrësi Aktiv organizes the event in cooperation with MuZEH Lab and the Durrës Museum Center. The European Union funds the project, and UNOPS implements it in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation.

Moreover, the event features the Crafts Square. Here, visitors can work alongside ceramic masters and try their hand at shaping clay.

Next, “Halil’s Stories” will take visitors on a humorous journey through Ottoman chronicles of Evliya Çelebi. Meanwhile, the unique Hammam space will fill with the sounds of the cello.

Additionally, the performance “Equilibrium” will blend various instruments into one spectacular show. It combines Swiss hang, Australian didgeridoo, Albanian drums, longari, Greek bouzouki, and isopolyphony. At the same time, images of old Durrës will project onto the monumental facade of the Hammam.

The event will take place next Thursday, June 19. Admission is free for everyone.
