Europe Week 2025 Celebrates Culture’s Role in Social Change

During Europe Week 2025, the ATA group and curator Elsa Demo staged the play “Kanga Eme” (“My Song”).
The minimalist production told the story of a 23-year-old woman in 1940s Albania.
It drew from the personal diary of Bedi Pipa.

Three actresses gave voice to her words through a choral performance.
They explored themes of freedom, emotion, and the right to think and feel.
The simple stage design kept focus on the message.
The performers brought Bedi Pipa’s inner world to life.

The play was part of a broader cultural program.
Europe Week 2025 included diverse artistic works from different places and topics.
The initiative showed how culture can shape society.

It aimed to inspire creativity and encourage dialogue, reflection, and inclusion.
