The tradition of Orikum came alive during an evening full of flavors, colors, and experiences.

Women from the area participated in the event by preparing traditional dishes, offering local products, and presenting various handicrafts.

At the product fair, attendees enjoyed the food, songs, and beautiful dances of the region.

The mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, stated that such activities showcase the area’s values, strengthen connections among residents, and invite tourists to the city.

He mentioned that Orikum carries its own history, highlighting the presence of Orikum and the Church of Marmiroi. He explained that these features are sources of pride. He added that this festival is the only means to convey strong local traditions through artisans, including both handicrafts and culinary offerings.

Authorities indicated that Orikum has maintained this festival as a tradition for 13 years. They said it serves as an opportunity to remember and pass on the region’s culture.
