The series of open lectures titled “Museum Nights,” organized by the Bank of Albania, presented prominent personalities in fields such as the history of currency and banking, economics, finance and financial education, numismatics, and disciplines like philately, art, and architecture.

These lectures took place after the Museum’s official visiting hours, creating a suitable environment for discussions and exchanges of ideas between the audience and experts.

In the latest lecture, titled “Inflation and Its Impact on the Cost of Living,” renowned expert Prof. Selami Xhepa discussed the phenomenon of inflation, its effects on purchasing power, and the factors that cause it.

The discussion covered the explanation of monetary and non-monetary inflation, the impact of monetary policies, and the role of gold and strong currencies as protection against high inflation.

This lecture aimed to raise awareness about the importance of careful monetary policies for economic stability and the well-being of citizens.
