Gonxhja: Let’s restore the Circus to its former glory

The Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, said that “our challenge is to restore the glory and former splendor of the Circus.”
Minister Gonxhja, while sharing moments from the first show and performance of Albanian acrobats on social media, said that the Circus is a space where one can escape from reality, becoming part of a world of boundless imagination.
“This year marks the 65th anniversary of the National Circus, the only one of its kind in the Balkans, which presents us with a difficult challenge, to restore the glory and former splendor of the Circus, to a space where children and adults can escape from reality and become part of a world of imagination without borders,” wrote Gonxhja.
On International Circus Day, Gonxhja expressed gratitude to circus artists and the magical emotions they have conveyed through their performances.
“We express our gratitude to all the wonderful artists, for every emotion and endless laughter they have given over the years, making circus of the most beloved art forms for everyone,” said Gonxhja.
