Halloween party, Veliaj: Zoopark is buzzing with children

Zoo Park Tirana is bustling with children dressed in Halloween costumes. These young ones, adorned in their favorite character outfits, enjoyed games and surprises within the premises of ZooPark Tirana.

The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, shared moments from this holiday on social networks. This event has become a tradition in recent years in Albania as well.

Veliaj wrote, ‘From ZooPark Tirana, which was filled with children in Halloween party costumes this weekend.

“Halloween is celebrated annually on October 31st. Its origins can be traced back to the Celtic people, who were among the first to ward off evil spirits by donning masks and lighting fires.

In the 8th century, Pope Gregory III declared November 1st as All Saints’ Day, incorporating some of the traditions of the Celts into the Catholic holiday. The night before November 1st was initially called All Saints’ Eve and eventually became known worldwide as Halloween.
