The first edition of the international art festival “Vjosart” is set to take place from May 21st to 31st, 2025, along the wild course of the Vjosa River.

The cities of Përmet, Fier, and Vlorë will host 200 artists from seven different countries, featuring performances in music and visual arts at various locations throughout the festival dates.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared an informative video today on social media about the event, which is being organized jointly by the three municipalities.

“Wild Vjosa with beautiful art,” Rama commented, highlighting the cultural significance of the festival.

The festival will officially open on May 21st in the heart of Përmet with a tribute to the legendary Laver Bariu and the unveiling of his bust near the city’s fountain.

From May 21st through May 31st, Përmet, Fier, and Vlorë will pulse to the rhythm of art with concerts spanning folklore, classical, and modern music.

Artistic activities will also include the exhibition “Intertwining” by the painter’s colony “Kontakt,” a fashion show titled “Blooming” featuring designers Erina Bektashi and Anila Zajmi, literary events, and a conversation with poet Lek Tasi.
