The Ministry of Culture has announced the international competition for projects on the restoration and museologicalization of the “Besa” Museum.

The purpose of the competition is to obtain contemporary and visionary concepts for interventions of an architectural and restorative character for the rehabilitation and adaptation of the existing object with the status of “Cultural Monument”, category I, as well as revitalization interventions, which aim to create a new cultural space of added to the capital.

“Museum of Faith” exalts one of the most important values ​​of the identity heritage of the creation of the Albanian nation.

This unwritten code has oriented society, maintaining moral and social balances. In the quality of the word, it frames today a people, who orient and believe in the power of the word 〈besa〉, giving it an almost divine weight.

“Besa” is not only a museum, it will serve as a meeting point, dialogue center for cultural exchanges and beyond.

The interventions in this object will be carried out in three lines: restoration interventions, revitalization interventions/new functions as well as museumization.

The competition will take place in two stages. The first phase concerns the expression of interest, at the end of which 5 finalists will be announced who will be awarded the prize of 40,000 euros each.

The second phase is the project concept, the finalist of which will conclude the contract for the design of the implementation project.
