International Cultural Weeks (ICW) is an initiative of the Ministry of Culture that brings to Albania the sounds, images, aromas and tastes of different countries of the world.

After a successful program throughout 2022, the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, announced that this program would continue in 2023.

The second edition of ICW starts this May and ends on November 30, 2023. The minister presented this year’s program at a media conference, held in the Concert Hall of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet.

This year’s program starts with the EU, May 16-22, and continues with the artists coming from Greece, from May 23-29. While the month of June will start with Italian culture.

Conceived as an international cultural parade, extending throughout the year, ICW is the continuation, inclusion and unification under one brand of a several-year tradition of organizing weeks dedicated to cultural cooperation.

Through this project, they become better known, strengthen relations with international partners, and increase the offer of cultural activities in Albania for all tastes and ages. ICW transforms the scene of cultural activities in the country into an international multicultural and multidisciplinary arena.

Throughout 2022, the International Cultural Weeks engaged over 700 artists.
