TIRANA, June 8 – Italian travel platform Skyscanner has highlighted Tirana as a destination that combines history, culture and modern life, listing 10 attractions visitors should not miss in the Albanian capital.

In an article by Cristina Grifoni, the outlet said Tirana offers a mix of historic landmarks, museums, traditional markets and contemporary urban spaces. The report described the city as a symbol of a dynamic and rapidly developing Albania.

According to Skyscanner, visitors can easily explore the city center on foot. The article also noted that public transport and taxis offer convenient options for longer journeys. In addition, it recommended spring and early autumn as the best periods to visit because of mild temperatures and lower rainfall.

The travel platform listed Skanderbeg Square, Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral, New Bazaar, Et’hem Bey Mosque and Blloku among the capital’s main attractions.

Meanwhile, the article also recommended House of Leaves, National Historical Museum, Pyramid of Tirana, Bunk’Art 1, Bunk’Art 2 and Mount Dajti.

At the same time, Skyscanner said Tirana serves as a convenient base for exploring other destinations across Albania. The report pointed to Berat, Kruja, Durrës, Lake Shkodra and Komani Lake as notable attractions near the capital.

As a result, the article concluded that Tirana is strengthening its position as one of the most interesting tourist destinations in the Balkans.
