Italy’s ‘Turisti per Caso’ outlines what to see in Albania in just seven days

TIRANA, February 4 – Albania is rapidly emerging as one of Europe’s most sought-after tourist destinations, thanks to its natural beauty, historical heritage, and competitive prices, according to the Italian travel site “Turisti per Caso”.

A seven-day trip can reveal the country’s essence, including historic towns, mountain landscapes, and beaches that rival the Mediterranean’s most famous destinations.

The journey begins in Tirana, Albania’s dynamic capital. Visitors can explore Skanderbeg Square, the National Historical Museum, Et’hem Bej Mosque, and cultural areas such as the Blloku neighborhood. These sites showcase the city’s urban transformation and rich history.

For nature lovers, Mount Dajti offers panoramic views and fresh air just minutes from the city center.

Only an hour from Tirana, Kruja presents a symbol of Albanian resistance. The castle and the traditional Ottoman bazaar remain top attractions for international visitors.

Further north, Shkodër represents another cultural pillar. Tourists can visit Rozafa Castle, Lake Shkodër, and explore the city’s rich artistic traditions.

Heading south, Berat, known as the “city of a thousand windows,” offers authentic urban neighborhoods such as Mangalem and Gorica, along with its hilltop castle. Gjirokastra, also part of UNESCO’s World Heritage, attracts visitors with its unique stone architecture, winding streets, and impressive castle.

The highlight of the trip is the Albanian Riviera. Beaches such as Ksamil, Dhërmi, and Himara feature crystal-clear waters, unspoiled nature, and an increasingly developed tourist infrastructure. This area is gaining attention internationally as a quality alternative to the more expensive destinations in Greece and Italy.

On the return to Tirana, tourists can stop in Durrës, one of Albania’s oldest cities, known for its Roman amphitheater and long coastline. Apollonia, a major archaeological site, offers additional historical value.

Tourism experts note that Albania provides a complete experience within a small territory. Short distances and diverse attractions make the country highly accessible. Traditional hospitality, authentic cuisine, and infrastructure improvements increase its appeal to European and international travelers.

With a balanced itinerary of culture, nature, and relaxation, Albania is positioning itself as an ideal destination for an intensive holiday, climbing steadily on Europe’s tourist map.
