President Vjosa Osmani called it a special honor to grant Dua Lipa Kosovan citizenship. She signed the presidential decree today.

Dua Lipa is one of the most important cultural and artistic figures in Kosovo’s history.

“Dua and Kosovo have always been together,” Osmani said. “She has been, and still is, one of the strongest voices on the world’s biggest stages. She makes history with her success and inspires millions of people around the world.”

Osmani thanked her deeply. “We are grateful for everything Dua has done and continues to do for Kosovo, for our youth, our art, and our image in the world.”

“Dua, Kosovo is always proud of you,” she concluded.
