The Directorate General of Archives (DGA) brought to Kruja the exhibition “Return to tradition, the folk clothing of Albanians”.

Through this exhibition, the variety of folk costumes from all over the Albanian lands is revealed, aiming to promote the national cultural heritage.

The exhibition aroused the curiosity of foreign visitors, who visited Kruja on August, as well as many other citizens. Through the pictures of the folk costumes, it is revealed the variety and uniqueness of all Albanian regions.

Moreover, the exhibited materials showed to visitors a broader overview on a variety of topics. Among the pictures were shown historical figures in folk costumes (clan leaders, men of letters, defender of native lands); folk costumes of the northern Albania, central Albania; Southern Albania, folk costumes of Albanian minorities outside its territory and children’s folk costumes.
